Well, we have been approved to purchase a home to replace our destroyed piece of toxic New Orleans swampland, and should be closing on the deal by the 19th of this month. So, we'll be in for Christmas :)
It will feel so good to be under our own roof, running under our own power once again ... and to have a separate room available for my office/studio, so that music may again begin in earnest...
Some other pictures of the house are here.

Hi John,
Just found your site by looking at the TTLB site for all the blogs that have me linked. So I see that you are down in New Orleans, that must have been very hard over the last months, waiting and rebuilding. Thanks for the link, I was wondering if you'd mind me linking your site on mine. I find it very interesting all of the really cool links you have to other country music. Keep writing. I'll be back to visit more often.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the link.
Actually, we are now pretty much former New Orleanians. Our neighborhood, I think, is a total loss, and what we own is basically a piece of uninhabitable, toxic swamp land that probably will be taken over by eminent domain if and when they decide to strengthen the levees. We were, after all, across the street from the London Canal about two miles from the lakefront. Yeah, it's been hard, but we're starting over from scratch in Natchitoches.
